My Story
Hi, I’m Elizabeth Camargo Garcia.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who supports women and individuals navigating life’s most tender, complex, and transformative seasons.
I specialize in working with those who are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain—whether due to the daily pressures of a demanding career, the identity shifts that come with motherhood, the unraveling of a relationship, or the emotional weight of unresolved trauma.
Together, we’ll work to calm the noise of anxiety, rebuild trust in your own voice, and make space for healing, clarity, and meaningful change.
My Journey To Becoming A Therapist
Like the clients I work with, I’ve faced moments of deep questioning, grief, and transition. I know what it feels like to hold it all together on the outside while feeling stuck or lost inside.
My academic background in Women’s Studies opened my eyes to the systemic and deeply personal challenges women face. My own journey has included fertility struggles, profound losses, and major life transitions—including shifting careers and identities. These experiences have shaped not only who I am, but how I show up for my clients.
I bring lived understanding and professional expertise to help you feel seen, heard, and supported in your unique story.
Therapy as a Space for Healing and Growth
I believe therapy is a powerful place for self-discovery, empowerment, and transformation.
Whether you’re questioning who you are now that your life looks different, processing pain from your past, or simply longing for more ease and connection in your daily life—our work together will be grounded in compassion and guided by your goals.
Clients often describe me as calm, peaceful, attentive, and deeply present. I value creating a space where you can feel emotionally safe to explore the hard stuff—and hopeful enough to envision what’s next.

Healing is possible, even if it hasn’t felt that way before.
-
Small steps can lead to powerful transformations.
-
Caring for yourself is not selfish—it’s essential.
-
Your story deserves to be held with respect, not judgment.
Professional Background
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies from the University of California, Irvine, where I focused on research surrounding fertility and surrogacy. After spending 20 years in healthcare epidemiology in hospital settings across Greater Los Angeles, I felt a deep calling to support women and professionals in more personal, meaningful ways.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, with a specialization in Latinx Family Systems. This training allows me to offer therapy that honors cultural context and identity, particularly for Latinas and women of color navigating generational, cultural, and relational challenges.
